Ismail Warsame – Senior Risk Analyst, Port of Portland

Ismail Warsame, M.Ed., PMP, is a seasoned leader with over a decade of experience in program management, risk mitigation, and policy analysis. As Enterprise Risk Manager at the Port of Portland, he oversees the ERM program for aviation, marine operations, Columbia River dredging, and business parks while leading the business continuity management. He also manages a FEMA-funded BCM enhancement project.

Previously, Ismail spent 12 years at Oregon State University, overseeing crisis management, compliance, student success initiatives, and major grants. Internationally, he has represented Somalia at key conferences, including the 2023 Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce event in Athens Greece, where he delivered a keynote on Somali ports.
